There was a short period in my life where I struggled with falling asleep. This really shook me up because I was always one of those people who could fall asleep standing up- it's happened...on the F train to Brooklyn.
I was doing a lot of inner work on myself at the time and it brought up emotions that I wasn't really dealing with. I got extremely anxious and of course...this all effected my sleep. I knew I needed help to quiet my "tiny mad thoughts" but wasn't willing to take any meds or chemicals into my body. That's when I read about this ancient Ayurvedic Beauty Tonic that not only eases you to sleep, but also helps to nourish your skin. Double yes!
Seriously, it works like a charm and tastes like Chai. It's so yummy that I have to be mindful not to make too much. A little goes a long way.
1/4 C of Organic Milk (you can substitute with Almond Milk)
1/2 TSP of Organic Ghee
Drop of honey
Pinch of Cardamon
Directions: Heat up milk. Strain the fat (film that you see on top of the milk). Add ghee, stir until it melts. Add a drop of honey and pinch of cardamon.
Stir vigorously and enjoy.
