Jiva-Apoha is hands down my favorite "oil" brand. I have several of their body oils and use all of them on a regular basis- switching them up based on my mood. Angela Shore, the creator of Jiva-Apoha- was the one who got me hooked on "oiling" and now I "oil" everyday and my spirit and skin love me for it!.
As a beauty blogger, I definitely learned the hard way that not all Facial Oils are created equal. After some major...major...breakouts, I've steered pretty clear from using oils on my face- as serums or moisturizers. (I still love them as cleansers).
When I do use oils, however, I make sure that they're higher in Linoleic acid- which helps to balance the natural sebum in your skin and can even prevent pore clogging and breakouts.
The first ingredient in Jiva-Apoha's Sundara (Beauty) Face Oil is Grapeseed Oil which has a Linoleic –70.6% / Oleic - 16.2% ratio. This is very, very good for those of us who are prone to Face Oil breakouts.
Even with such a high ratio, though, I still don't use it everyday- better safe than sorry. But, I love patting this product onto my face after giving myself a deep exfoliation (to calm the skin down) or sometimes after a really hot shower. It just feels really good.
For the lucky ones who aren't sensitive to face oils (you could bathe in coconut oil and come out unscathed), I would definitely give this one a try. Like all of the Jiva-Apoha oils, it's the best of the best in terms of quality, ingredients and also smells insanely healing and grounding.
Happy Oiling Wild Ones.
