Ok, I'm not mad. But I am crazy about Mad Hippie. I recently got a facial with Julia March (I read that she uses crystals in her facials and I ran there faster than you could say citrine) and she recommended their Vitamin C serum for my skin. I was looking for a toxin free serum that wasn't oil based- getting sick of oils lately.
I've been using their Vitamin C serum and eye cream every day and their Exfoliating Serum every night for almost a month. The Vitamin C is very similar to the cult fave LBG/MRC. Both have a gel-like texture, are light yet hydrating, and Vitamin C packed. At less than a quarter of the price, I'd say that the Mad Hippie version is a more affordable MRC.
I'm also loving the nighttime Exfoliating Serum. I've been using this in place of my Moonlight Catalyst and also have to say that the similarities are awesome. They are both water-based serums that exfoliate your skin as you sleep. The next morning, my skin is smoother, more even looking and refined. Again, at half the price of the Kypris....I'd start with Mad Hippie and graduate.
Last but not least the Mad Hippie Eye Cream is light and extremely effective. I use this with a drop of my Laurel Eye Serum mixed in and I love what the combination is doing for my under eyes. The skin looks tighter and brighter. Also check out the before and after pic on their site...it's what sold me. Pretty crazy.
All in all, I love this easily accessible clean brand. It's a great starter for those who want a more affordable way into toxin free skincare.
