I went to see Jillian Wright for a facial back in October after reading about her in Well + Good. Like sunscreen and lipstick, I'm always on the hunt for my holy grail facial...which seems to be a never ending journey, where another turn leads you to the next best thing or the new must try. But, Well + Good wrote that the spa had a "smoothie inspired mask bar" which sounded delicious (for my face)...they had me at smoothie.
The problem I find with most "natural" facials is the impact. Sure, my face looks glowy right after- but whose wouldn't with someone rubbing and massaging beautiful oils onto your face for an hour. I'm looking for results that last.
Ladies (and gentlemen)...Jillian's facials do just that. She uses magical products (many from her own line) that leave your skin plump, clear and healthy looking for days. The "I just got a facial" look lasted almost a week...and that's huge my friends.
For those of you who aren't in NY, you can bring some of Jillian's magic to you with her own line of products. I'm currently using the Mito Energy Serum and Moisturizer and I love it. The serum sinks into your skin, leaving it soft and plump and I love the texture of the moisturizer. It's more like a rich lotion in a jar. The light consistency absorbs into your skin...a little goes a long way...and it's powerful enough to get me through the dry winter season.
Two other major winners that I will...repeat, absolutely will...get full sizes of are the Gentile Peptide Cleanser- which is like a foaming, shimmery, lotion face wash (best of all worlds) and the Double Surface Exfoliator- that exfoliates with bamboo stem powder and lactic acid (double whammy).
Jillian's products feel like if you and I (beauty addicts) decided to come together and invent our own skincare line....this is what we'd come up with. Safe, effective, nature meets science, elegant and sweet.
