Embracing our darkest moments and seeing them as our deepest lessons is not easy. As a matter of fact, it's fucking hard. But, I think that fairy tales and fables have been trying to tell us- since a young age- that we have to kiss the frog to get the prince.
Facing the things that scare us the most is a leap of faith my friends- much like kissing the frog. More often than not, we like to intellectualize what we don't understand and approach the dark armed with reason and understanding. But, the problem is that it never makes sense. It never makes sense to go against your body that's screaming, "danger, danger, run!" and stay instead.
We need to surrender to the other side.
And...there is another side.
In all of my interactions with the dark, I've learned that whenever I face it, sit with it, make friends with it, I'm stronger, wiser and most importantly, happier for having done it.
Your prince is waiting.
