Tammy Fender

Out of all the toxin free/ natural skincare brands that I've tried since getting clean from dirty beauty, I have to say that Tammy Fender has been the stand out.  This nifty travel set is a great way to familiarize yourself with her line and I will definitely be purchasing some of these items in full size.

Of course these products are super effective and the packaging is beautiful...otherwise it wouldn't be on OWL.  But, what makes this line special is Tammy's holistic approach to beauty.  I love how she tells us the physical benefits of her products (soothes, cleanses, etc) as well as the spiritual/emotional benefits (energizes, awakens the spirit, etc).  What a fun and healing way to look at your skincare and daily routine.

Now to the good stuff:

Step 1: Purifying Cleansing Gel

  • probably my favorite product out of the bunch
  • an organic cleanser that suds!!
  • leaves my skin feeling clean but not stripped
  • smells amazing...like fresh herbs

Aqueous Extracts of *Licorice (Glycrrhia Glabra), *Alfalfa (Medicago Sativa), *Peppermint (Mentha Piperita), Lauryl Glucoside (Plant Source), Olive Oil, Jojoba Oil, Methyl Gluceth20 (Plant Source), Essential Oils of Lavender, Spearmint, Rosemary, Dehydroacetic Acid (and) Benzyl Alcohol

Step 2: Essential C Tonic

  • Another favorite from the line
  • does a really good job at toning by skin
  • leaves it feeling balanced and clean

  • It contains Benzyl Alcohol, a natural preservative system

*Aqueous Extracts of Hibiscus Sabdariffa, Rose (Rosa Canina) Hips, *Orange (Citrus Sinensis) Peel Extract, *Lemongrass (Cymbopogan Citratus), *Lemon (Citrus Limon) Peel, *Green Tea (Camellia Oleifera) Leaf, *Kelp (Ascophyllum Nodosum) Extract, Essential Oils of Bergamot (Citrus Bergamia), Lavender (Lavendula Officinalis), Olive (Olea Europaea) Leaf Extract, *Rosemary (Rosmarinus Officinalis), Glycerine, Dehydroacetic Acid and Benzyl Alcohol

Step 3: Clarifying Dermagel

  • Feels really active
  • seemed to help keep my skin clear and blemish free
  • smells like Tea Tree oil

  • mine had a white filmy ingredient in it that kept separating from the rest of the serum- not sure if this was normal, but it stuck to the side of the glass.
  • Benzyl Alcohol

*Aqueuos Extracts of Hibiscus Sabdariffa Flowers, Rose Hips, Orange Peel, Lemongrass, Lemon Peel, Green Tea Leaf, *Jojoba Oil, Olive Oil PEG-7 Esters, *Rose Hip Seed Oil, Tapioca Starch, Essential Oils of Rosemary, Myrrh, Tea Tree, Lavender, Thyme, Lemon, Glycerin (Vegetable Source), Sodium Polyacylate, Oleoresin (Rosemary), Dehydroacetic Acid (and) Benzyl Alcohol

Step 4: Antioxidant Creme

  • Texture is really nice and rich...a good break from all those facial oils

  • Had a clay-like smell to it
  • didn't sink into the skin well
  • Benzyl Alcohol

Aqueous Extracts Of Lavender (Lavendula Angustifloria),*Hibiscus Sabdariffa, FoTi (Polygonum Multiflorum), Algae (Laminaria Digitata), Grape (Vitis Vinefira) Seed Extract, *Avocado (Persea gratissima) Oil, *Rose (Rosa Canina) Hip Seed Oil, Ben Alkpoly Glucoside (and) Polyglyceryl (Plant Souce), *Grape (Vitis Vinifera) Seed Oil, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, *Calendula Officinalis Flower Oil, Shea Butter, *Orange Peel Wax Complex, *Sunflower Seed Seed Oil, Carrot Sativa Seed Extract, Lecithin, Tocopherol, Essential Oils of Neroli Bigarde, Sweet Orange, Dehydroacetic Acid and Benzyl Alcohol (Natural Preservative System), Oleoresin (Rosemary)

The Epi-Peel (suggested use 2-3 times/week) was pretty good.  The texture was really gritty and it exfoliated my skin well.  However, it also had the same clay/stale smell to it, like the Antioxidant Creme which I didn't love.

The Bulgarian Lavender Body Oil had a nice subtle scent but wasn't super moisturizing.  I still prefer The FEZ over any body oil on the market.

I will definitely be purchasing the Purifying Cleansing Gel and the Essential C Tonic in full size.  They are the best, most effective cleanser and toner duo I've tried yet.
